Stephen received his BS in chemistry from Stony Brook University in 2015. At Stony Brook, Stephen worked with Professor Isaac Carrico synthesizing molecules for bioorthogonal chemistry. When Stephen moved to Caltech as a graduate student in 2015, he initially joined the Dougherty lab, studying ligand binding interactions and protein crosslinking. In 2018, Stephen moved to the Lester lab to study membrane protein trafficking.
